117 of us die from metastatic breast cancer (MBC) each day. (40k+ each year)
Only 13% of breast cancer research funding goes to MBC.
Metastatic breast cancer means the cancer has spread beyond the breast, most often to the bones, liver, lungs, or brain.
It is not curable. Patients are on treatment for the rest of their lives, often 2-3 years, with challenging quality of life.
We need better outcomes and improved treatment options for MBC patients.

Research unlocks longer lives, improved quality of life (ex. fewer side effects), and better treatment options.
Research funding has already improved quality and length of life for many patients. 70% of cancer drugs approved by the FDA in 2025 were tested at MD Anderson Cancer Center.
We are raising funds through their annual grassroots Boot Walk fundraising campaign. Every dollar raised through this team goes directly to metastatic breast cancer research at MD Anderson. Not overhead. Not general funding. See current research that we funded here.
Funding MBC research creates hope.

Most of us are fighting stage IV metastatic breast cancer. Some of us are caregivers. All of us have lost someone to it.
Over 11 years, Team Stomp Out Stage IV Breast Cancer has raised over $2M in funds as part of the Boot Walk campaign. Many of the teammates who started this with us have since passed away. This team keeps going because of them, and because of everyone still fighting.

Every contribution fuels critical research that will change our story.
We’re so incredibly grateful for the unwavering generosity of those who have stood with us, year after year.
We are a formidable force against MBC, together!
